“Plots for sale in Audra”. Victor read it twice to make sure that he was not hallucinating. So this, was the next big thing.
Planet Audra had been in the news for quite some time. As an exquisite planet from Galaxy Omega, it never failed to captivate the citizens of planet Earth. Naturally, Victor too religiously kept himself updated about the planet from all possible sources.
Victor fell into an instant chain of thoughts. In a few years, there would be a technology to transport humans from planet Earth to planet Audra in a flash. Then we could go from Earth to Audra as if they were houses on the same street.
However, Victor was not free from antagonistic thoughts. Who would decide laws on planet Audra? At least now when we could not go to the planet yet. And of course the cost – who would decide what was apt? And how would anyone know if there would actually be a plot in your name? What if aliens exist? So many questions to be answered, but rational thinking had never been one of Victor’s strong points.
So eventually, he made headlines for something other than being an opulent beneficiary, which was enough to feed his pride. Repercussions could be dealt with later.
Dr. Triniculo and her team had the last laugh. It was amusing how the humans would believe anything; even the most ludicrous ideas in the name of science. Their brilliant concept of a resplendent planet in a faraway galaxy was more than successful and Victor was their latest victim.
News flash 2080:
1864 die in intergalactic war.
Victor, a citizen of planet Earth from the Milky Way Galaxy had claimed the ownership of a plot in planet Audra from Omega Galaxy. This marked the beginning of an everlasting war between the citizens of both the planets. A recent attack by the citizens of planet Audra has resulted in the cumulative death of 1864 citizens from the both the planets.
