Review :
Tall, rich, and handsome, Vivan is the most sought-after bachelor. Recently returned from London, he is the one and only scion of Bakshi Group of Companies. A perfect gentleman, an astute businessman, Vivan Bakshi has it all. But he is about to lose his girlfriend to someone else! Left with her wedding invitation, what will Vivan do? From being born with a silver spoon to roadside dhaba drudgery, Vivan undertakes it all as he sets off in search of his love, finding a lot more into the bargain. A pacy romance, this tale is a revelation that true love doesn't come that easy. It demands hard work.
This book is about Maya aka Mayavati and Vivan and their complicated love story. In the beginning, Vivan reads Mayavati's personal diary claiming that he can do it since he is her boyfriend. I think this is not really a behaviour to be appreciated; he does not need to intrude into her privacy even if he is her girlfriend. Their love story is very predictable - girl meets handsome rich boy. The characters have all the best qualities in the world and they never face any real problems. Vivan needs to read her diary to understand her love for him. Then the story takes sudden dramatic twists. It is like an overly dramatized Bollywood movie where the hero saves the damsel in distress. The hero needs to 'prove' his love for the heroine through various 'heroic' acts which will make each of the members of her family accept him. The story is highly unrealistic and Maya does nothing when their relationship faces problems. She puts in no effort and expects Vivan to do everything to make it right and become the 'knight in shining armour'. A few grammatical errors need to be rectified. This book is a typical Bollywood style love story for a breezy read.
