Review :
Nandu pays an unfair price for being nice; he is dumped by his girlfriend. Depressed by the brutal break-up, he follows in the footsteps of his womanizer friend Sattu, who firmly believes that nothing good ever happens to a nice man. Duly brainwashed to shed his lovelorn avatar, along with the skin of the nice man, Nandu gets a character reboot. Things change rapidly, as he uses lies and all the unfair means to score girls. It works wonders for him till he realizes how powerful karma is. That makes him come out of his transitional filthy state, choosing to become a nice man again. That is when he falls in love with Tanishq - a beautiful dentistry student.
The story begins with the college life of four friends who are dentistry students. Noor, who was Nandu's girlfriend ditches him for someone else. This, along with the influence of his friend Sattu turns him into a person who uses lies and deceit to hook-up with girls. He again changes back to his former self when he fall in love with Tanishq. The initial part of the book is very elaborate with absolutely no substance except objectifying statements about women. Later, the plot becomes melodramatic and highly dragging. Half way through the book, I lost the interest to complete the book and I had to push myself to complete it. The end was highly predictable. The book could have been cut short to make it less boring. None of the women in the book are shown to have a good character. All of them are either desperate and attention-seeking or downright manipulative. The author makes quite a few misogynistic generalized observations about women. The character of Nandu has no self-respect and his decisions are always influenced by others. The characters change their behaviour too fast which makes it highly unbelievable. The wrong actions done by Sattu are justified with a hopeless back story. The other characters in the book are long forgotten and nothing more is said about them. The cover page of the book is well designed and I had high expectations from the book but I was disappointed. I did not understand what kind of message the author was trying to give the audience.
