Review :
Pyjama Profit is a guide for millennials to get started with a self-sustained online freelance practice, while developing their skills needed to succeed. The book talks about in - demand online skills and the different paths one can take to become an expert in these fields. A stable income from freelancing in college was the bedrock that had allowed the authors to explore their ambitions further and get to where they are today. In the process, they've worked with many of their own batch mates, colleagues and friends to help them set up highly successful freelance careers. The author duo decided to detail their story of what worked for them and how anyone in the country could thrive without being tied down to a full-time job. The book is a perfect fit in today's time because of the growing freelance economy and growing aspirations among millennials to find a job they love and not just something that pays their bills.
The name and the theme of the book really intrigued me. I do not usually read self-help books but this one really surprised me. The book is straight to the point and does not have any vague instructions. That is something really commendable about this book. It is written in a simple and easy-to-understand language and is suitable for amateurs as well as the experienced alike. When we read this book, we realize that the authors clearly know what they are talking about. There is no beating around the bush and everything is explained clearly leaving no room for doubts. Even the jargons used have been explained in detail and the authors have covered all the aspects brilliantly. The data given in the book is also aesthetically organized in the form of tables and charts which is pleasing to the eye and also helps to grasp the information easily. The book is short and concise so we will not get bored. The authors do not shy away from stating harsh realities which make this book an honest guide that does not mislead the reader and give false hopes. For any of you who would like to pursue a freelance career, or know more about the possibilities, this book is very handy and will give you some clear insights.
