Review :
Stella Lane thinks math is the only thing that unites the universe. She comes up with algorithms to predict customer purchases - a job that has given her more money than she knows what to do with, and way less experience in the dating department than the average thirty-year-old. It doesn't help that Stella has Asperger's and French kissing reminds her of a shark getting its teeth cleaned by pilot fish. Her conclusion: she needs lots of practice - with a professional. Which is why she hires escort Michael Phan. The Vietnamese and Swedish stunner can't afford to turn down Stella's offer, and agrees to help her check off all the boxes on her lesson plan. Before long, Stella not only learns to appreciate his kisses, but to crave all the other things he's making her feel. Soon, their no-nonsense partnership starts making a strange kind of sense. And the pattern that emerges will convince Stella that love is the best kind of logic.
This book has a unique beginning and it was very interesting. The book kept me hooked until the middle after which there was no storyline and it was repetitive. The end was a cliché as expected. The character of Stella Lane has Asperger’s syndrome. I did not know about this syndrome and this book did help me understand about this medical condition. But after a while, Stella’s character lost its depth. It is the same with the male protagonist Michael. Though it is part of the theme, the physical intimacy between Stella and Michael became monotonous and I had to force myself to continue reading the book. This book had a wonderful theme but it fizzled out halfway through the book. The author’s style of narration is interesting and can keep the reader hooked. This book has a few emotional chapters which I really enjoyed. The cover of this book is one of the most beautiful ones I have come across. If you are interested in a light, romantic read with sizzling chemistry between the leads, this book will work for you.
